How many ohms should a oil pressure sensor have?The reading at zero PSI before starting the engine should be 240 ohms. When you start the engine and bring the oil pressure to 40 psi, this should give you a reading of 103 ohms. Increasing the pressure to 80 psi should give you a reading of 33.5 ohms.
Is the oil pressure switch and sender the same thing?An oil pressure sending unit is also known as an oil pressure switch or even an oil pressure sensor.
