How does a 6.0 high pressure oil pump work?A Siemens high-pressure oil pump sits at the rear of the 6.0L, and within the crankcase itself. It isn't timed to the engine and is also a seven-piston, swashplate-style pump. Unlike conventional injection pumps, the high-pressure oil pump does not create pressure. It creates a volume of oil for the injectors to use.
