Can AHA ACLS be done online?

HeartCode® ACLS Online consists of a cognitive portion that is completed online. A separate psychomotor skills assessment using voice assisted manikins with real-time audio and visual feedback or a skills assessment with an AHA Instructor is required to earn a valid AHA ACLS Provider eCard that is valid for two years.

Is ACLS online valid?

As a general rule of thumb: if you are required to obtain an AHA ACLS Certification, you need to go directly through the AHA to complete your course. However, if your employer does not specifically require an AHA ACLS Certification, an ACLS online certification is an excellent choice for you.

A: The online portion of HeartCode ACLS takes approximately 6.5-7 hours to complete, depending on the student's level of experience.
