Attack on titan season 4 official art

A new piece of artwork for Attack on Titan season 4, part 2's home release has teased a showdown between Mikasa, Armin, and a younger Eren Yeager. The second part of the final season aired from January 10, 2022 to April 4, 2022. Attack on Titan season 4, part 3 is set to be released in 2023, completing the series' final arc.

Attack on Titan season 4, part 2 saw many changes that completely shifted the relationships of its cast while also setting up a conclusion that raised the stakes to their highest. After leading his own coup and betraying his friends, Eren Yeager (Yuki Kaji) used the powers of the Founding Titan to awaken the Colossal Titans slumbering inside the walls of Paradis. Despite having hope that Eren might have better intentions, Mikasa Ackerman (Yui Ishikawa) and Armin (Marina Inoue) realize he has started the Rumbling, using the Titans to wipe out humanity outside of the island. Armin and Mikasa join forces with former enemies from Marley to take part in one final mission to stop Eren's genocidal plan, even if it means killing their former close friend.

Shared by the official Attack on Titan anime series' Twitter account, the new piece of artwork sees Mikasa and Armin set their sights on Eren. Created for season 4, Part 2's home media releases on DVD and Blu-Ray, the artwork places the three characters within the paths, with Mikasa and Armin looking forward toward an image of young Eren. The young Eren is stood before the tree-shaped pillar of light at the center of the paths, while his Founding Titan form looms overhead. Check out the home release's cover artwork below.

Attack on Titan season 4, part 3 was announced quickly following the initial airing of the final episode of part 2, "The Dawn of Humanity." Through the anime series' Twitter account, it was confirmed that Studio MAPPA was currently developing a final set of episodes that would bring the anime adaptation of Hajime Isayama's dark fantasy manga series to a close, with the new episodes set to debut in 2023. Alongside the confirmation, the account also released a new piece of eye artwork for the upcoming episodes that depicted Armin, Mikasa, and the alliance between the Scouting Regiment and Marley's Warriors in the wake of Eren's destruction.

Attack on Titan's final season has set up a dark path for its fallen protagonist, centering him as the series' greatest threat. While episode 87 explored Eren's motivations and desire to protect his friends, his quest has now seen him seek to destroy the world, with his final line of season 4, part 2 adding a dark twist to his younger self's vow to eliminate and take revenge on the Titans who took his mother by playing the line over his destructive march on Marley's coast. With Eren undergoing such a drastic change, the latest home media release's new cover artwork not only shows the character's stark evolution from hero to monster, but shows that those who loved him now must stand against him to save the world.

Who is the artist for Attack on Titan Season 4?

Hajime Isayama (諫山 創, Isayama Hajime, born August 29, 1986) is a Japanese manga artist. His first series, Attack on Titan (2009–2021), became one of the best-selling manga series of all time with 110 million copies in circulation as of September 2022.

Where is AOT official art released?

MAPPA released the first batch of art to both the official Twitter account for the series, and the studio's own social media account. The new art was drawn by Manabu Akita, who was the chief animation director for the first episode of The Final Season - Part 2, which debuted on Jan. 9.

Why does the animation look different in AOT season 4?

Because there was a studio change. Season 1, 2 and 3 were animated by WIT Studio, whereas the current final season is being animated by Studio Mappa.

Who is in the poster of AOT season 4?

The poster for season four shows Eren's Titan creeping over a large building enclosing Reiner, and he looks an awful lot like the Colossal Titan from the anime's season one poster.
