Answer:

Answer:

All a SIM card does is contain the basic information to allow your device to connect to the T-Mobile cellular network using your account with T-Mobile. SIM cards are required to access LTE and newer 4G enhanced and 5G networks. So no way to connect without using one (Verizon and the previous Sprint require SIM cards and have now for years to access their LTE and newer networks).

On an iPhone the SIM contains no personal data at all. Nor does it provide any hollywood’ish “back door” control of your device, nor access to any of your device data.

Samsung is giving $500 in trade-in value for the Pixel 3a towards a Verizon or Sprint version of the Note 20 series. If I buy a Sprint version can I use it with a TMo Sim card?

Just put a T-Mobile SIM in a locked (owes money on lease) Sprint iPhone 11 Pro Max and it activated and worked fine on T-Mobile. No issues whatsoever.

I was able to put my t sim in my leased sprint iPhone XS max

Just spoke to a TMO rep via chat. I was told that you can use a TMO Sim with a Sprint phone as long as it is unlocked.

However, There are people in this thread that states otherwise so take that as you may.

All sprint phones are unlocked for T-Mobile.

Idk I haven’t been able to get a solid answer on this either. BUT, in the last 2 months I’ve been able to get 2 sprint locked iPhones, that both work with T-Mobile sim. One rep told me apple must have updated their activation policy.

This may not work with android because their activation policy is kept on the device. iPhones are done through a server.

I.e. right now I’m typing this on a confirmed sprint locked iPhone 11 Pro Max with a T-Mobile SIM card inside.

Would a Boost Mobile device be compatible, since it's technically a "Sprint" iPhone with the Boost PRL Profile, would it work for that? I see where it says "T-Mobile, Sprint, and affiliated MVNOs may sometimes be compatible" in a few spots, but I want to confirm.

Does anyone know if a Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge (Model SM-J327P), that is a Sprint device, would work with a T-Mobile SIM card, if it has not been unlocked?

FYI, I don't have the phone in my possession. I am in desperate need of a temporary phone to use with my T-Mobile SIM card right now and someone offered to give it to me for free.

If anyone has an informed answer to offer, I would really appreciate a reply.

Yes. Brother got a locked Sprint Phone but it worked on Tmobiles now.

Android or iPhone? I’d really like to know cuz sprint phones are normally cheaper

All current "sprint" phones are tmobile compatible

iPhones are not that big of a deal because they're considered world phones and the newer models support mostly every Network and frequency.

Now Android phones on the other hand.... That's where it can get really tricky.

It's important to note that many Android oems usually make a network specific "version/model".

If you have an Android phone that was purposefully built for the Sprint network then I would recommend you trade it in for a T-Mobile one. since the Sprint Android phone will not be able to work properly on the T-Mobile network. (Of course your mileage may vary depending on the device, but most Android phones sold through Sprint are network specific models)

That's not to say that you can't unlock your Sprint Android phone. Just that the hardware is most likely not fully compatible with the T-Mobile network. So your coverage and experience will most likely be poor...

It looks like answer is not currently

I just upgraded my Sprint devices. Will they be compatible with T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile?

Edit above info seems to be incorrect according to other posters here ( It seems T-mobile needs to update their F.A.Q.)

My Sprint locked S20 Plus 5G is on the Tmobile network. In the Samsung Tool, you can no longer choose the Band Selection Mode (to choose 41). Sprint 41, which much faster than Tmobile Band 66

If you have an S Eight Plus or earlier, you are stuck with Band 2 at a sluggish 1-4 Mbps, except at midnight, which is worse than Verizon (minus band 66) in the North Seattle metro area.

The Sprint device reboots to TMo, works the same and reboots to Sprint f a Sprint sim is reinserted.

This is what answer I have seem the most on the forms and it seem to be the most reasonable accurate and logical.

TMO will gradually integrate Sprints network where ever needed and re deploy the bandwidth and the frequencies to enhance and accommodate it's network while gradually moving sprint customers over based on local and devices and VOLTE, I think eventually at the end of 3 years (the amount time they need to grandfather sprints plans,) at that point they will port you over to a similar TMO plan and switch you in the billing system as a TMO customer. They will also at that point hand over the old sprint infrastructure and towers to spectrum who will also incoperate boost and become nations 4 largest cellphone provider

Can I buy a Sprint phone and use it with T

In general, a SIM-equipped Sprint phone will have to be unlocked before it can be used with a T-Mobile SIM.
