We are pleased to introduce another customer centric initiative by launching Card to Card fund transfer on our ATMs. The facility is aimed to provide interbank fund transfer using existing debit card and ATM network in coordination with NPCI. By using this service, our customers would be able to transfer funds from debit card linked account to another, either in the same bank or other bank from any ATM of NFS member bank (10 banks) who have enrolled for this service.

  • The card can be issued to Individual accounts holder/self-operated savings, current and overdraft accounts. For joint accounts, with operating instructions as ‘either or survivor’ and ‘any one or survivor’ the card can be issued to anyone or all the joint account holders.

  • As per recent guidelines, at the time of issue/re-issue/renewal, all the debit card will be enabled for use only at contact-based points of usage [viz. ATMs and Point of Sale (PoS) devices] within India. Existing cards which have never been used for online/international/contactless transactions shall be mandatorily disabled for this purpose. Now, to enable the channels, through BOB ATM/Baroda M-Connect Plus (Mobile Banking)/Baroda Connect (Internet Banking)/IVR.
    Kindly use your card for first transaction on BOB ATM or Green PIN generation through BOB ATM/Baroda M-Connect Plus (Mobile Banking)/Baroda Connect (Internet Banking)/IVR and then try of online transactions.

  • Yes, Rs. 200 + Tax is charged for replacement of damaged card/lost card.

  • A maximum of 9 accounts held in the same name and same capacity can be linked to a Debit Card. Please submit request for linking of multiple accounts on your Debit Card to your base branch.

  • Debit Card does not work on ATMs due to some of the following reasons:
    Your debit card may be blocked.
    You may not have swiped the card properly.
    Your card might have got damaged/deteriorated due to which it is not accepted by ATM where the card reader may be weak. In such case you may try at another ATM and if still does not work, request for a new card to your branch/contact centre.
    Your account may be inoperative or frozen at branch level due to some reason. Please contact your branch to know the account status.
    You may be using the wrong PIN.
    Connectivity from the ATM has failed. In such case please try after some time or use another ATM.

  • No transactions are free.

  • Soft blocking : After 3 attempts of wrong pin in a DAY (within 24 hrs.) debit card will be blocked for next 24 hrs.
    Hard Blocking: After 12 attempts of wrong pin in a MONTH debit card will be blocked permanently.

It is simply because an ATM card allows you to withdraw cash in times of need.  Besides cash withdrawal, ATM cards also let you transfer funds to your near and dear ones when an emergency arises. Money transfer apps are also on a rise these days. Therefore, you need to be know how to transfer money from ATM card in every situation.

While many of you are aware of the withdrawal process, very few know how to transfer money from an ATM card. So, let us help you understand how to do so in detail below:

Here’s how to transfer money through atm card online:

  • Go to the nearest ATM
  • Insert your ATM card
  • Select the language you prefer
  • Enter your debit card PIN
  • Select ‘Yes’
  • Click on the ‘Fund Transfer’ option from the bottom corner
  • Submit the beneficiary’s details, such as bank account number and name of the bank
  • Choose your bank account type. You need to select between a savings account and a current account
  • Fill out the amount that you wish to transfer to the beneficiary and press ‘Correct’
  • Click ‘Yes’ to confirm the entered amount

Once the amount has been entered, the funds will be transferred to the beneficiary within the stipulated time. But hey, if the transaction is not completed within the time limit, your screen will flash a ‘Time Out’ message. Well, in that case, you need to repeat these steps all over again!

Transferring funds from ATM cards is quite convenient. However, there are also times when the card doesn’t allow the transfer of funds. It can be due to ATM malfunction, server issues, power outages, etc. So, what will you do under such a scenario? Relax! It is still possible to send money to your beneficiaries through other payment modes listed below:

National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT)

Many leading digital payments banks like Airtel Payments Bank allow you to electronically transfer funds from one bank to another in India. This is termed as NEFT, which usually takes up to two hours to complete the transaction.

Transferring funds through NEFT on Airtel Payments Bank is free of charge. So, you don’t have to pay anything extra while sending money to your beneficiaries. A NEFT transfer has no limit for transaction amount unlike a money transfer app.

All you have to do is follow the steps given below:

  • Open the Airtel Thanks app or directly visit the website of Airtel Payments Bank
  • Choose ‘Transfer Money’
  • Press ‘Transfer to Bank’
  • Submit the details of the beneficiaries
  • Complete the process

Unified Payment Interface (UPI)

Transferring funds to your friends and family via UPI has now become fairly easy. All credits to Airtel Thanks, which is also a money transfer app, apart from being your go-to choice for online recharges and more.

It has powered BHIM UPI-based payments, making it possible to send money to your near and dear ones instantly and free of charge. So, follow these steps mentioned below to transfer funds via UPI on Airtel Thanks:

  • Login to Airtel Thanks
  • Go to the ‘Pay’ option
  • Select between ‘Send Money’ or ‘Scan any QR’ option

Note: If you choose the ‘Send Money’ option, you need to link your bank account to transfer the funds. But, if you choose the OR code option, scan the code directly from your mobile phone to send the money.

Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS)

It is another great option to transfer funds from one bank account to another in real-time on a gross settlement basis. Thus, the transactions made through RTGS are authorized instantly without any delay.

The RTGS transactions are mainly used for high-value funds that require immediate clearance. So, if you’re willing to transfer a huge amount to your friends or family, you should most definitely choose the RTGS transaction.

Immediate Payment Service (IMPS)

IMPS is another method to transfer funds instantly. But, it comes with a maximum limit of up to Rs. 1 Lakh as well as levies additional service tax for an immediate transfer.

When it comes to its charges, IMPS levies an amount between Rs. 5 and Rs. 15, which depends upon the terms and conditions of the banks. So, confirm the charges with them before opting for an IMPS transfer.
