Thats why i love chime its a hassle sometimes not being able to get the physical cash but is a big help but this will be even more helpful for me or anyone else who may be a little shy on a bill that spotme would not cover #chimeforthewin 🎉🍾

level 2

Hell yea. Sometimes I wanna buy pot too. Lol. Kwiktrip and circle k has always done cash back with spot me tho.

level 1

Certain stores would already let you get cash back. ATM withdrawals though Is pretty dope

level 1

I’ve already gotten cash back at Family Dollar with spot me. Since I’ve been using my card...

level 2

Yea i have been at kwik trips and circle ks. it depends on how the establishment runs the transaction. i couldnt at walgreens.

level 2

but now you can just use an atm.

level 1

Spot Me already worked with cashback (thought not ATMs) even though any Chime customer service rep would adamantly assure you it wouldn't.

You just had to do it a specific way ;)

level 2

It depended on the store and how the store ran the transaction. Also if another person comments this again and I have to respond with this one more time I’m going to lose my fucking mind.

Can you use spot me for cash back

Chime’s SpotMe program allows you to make overdraft transactions with your debit card (up to a certain limit) without paying additional fees. It also allows you to overdraft by withdrawing cash from an ATM, cash back transactions, or over-the-counter withdrawals.[1]

With the Chime SpotMe program, you can use your debit card to make purchases that overdraft your checking account, up to your predetermined overdraft limit.[2] However, in order to use the SpotMe program, you must be making a “qualifying transaction” — it will not work for things like Pay Friends/Split Bill or ACH transfers.[3]

How SpotMe Works

SpotMe allows Chime account holders with monthly direct deposits of $200 or more an overdraft cushion of a set amount. Your SpotMe overdraft limit will start at $20 and may increase over time (up to $200) based on your account history and activity.[4]

There are no fees for using SpotMe; Chime will simply deduct the overdrawn amount from your next direct deposit. Chime will automatically decline any transaction at a store checkout that would take your Chime account beyond your individual overdraft limit.[4] If you’re not careful, however, you may incur out-of-network cash withdrawal fees. Pulling cash from an ATM outside of Chime’s 60,000+ fee-free ATMs will often charge you a small fee.[3]

Note that SpotMe only covers debit card transactions; it does not cover the following:[4][3]

  • ACH transfers (including Venmo and Square Cash)
  • Transfers to a Chime savings account
  • Chime checkbook transactions
  • Pay Friends transfers

Banks and Credit Unions: You can request a cash withdrawal by going into a bank or credit union and presenting your Chime Visa Debit Card to the teller. This is referred to as an Over-The-Counter Withdrawal. There is a $2.50 fee every time you withdraw cash this way with a limit of up to $500 per day.
