Why does Alaska have aluminum boats?Aluminum boats are rugged and easier to power than fiberglass. They will take the abuse of everyday fishing and can handle the wear and tear of trailering. Aluminum is less likely to catastrophically fail if the boat collides with a large log or submerged structure.
