A Passion for Fox-Bodies

The Chocolate Fox is not your typical car show. It’s designed especially for those with a passion for Fox-Bodies (1979-93 Mustangs). On the Museum’s picturesque grounds, all Fox-Bodies are welcome regardless of their restoration stage. See beautiful low-mileage show cars next to multi-colored projects. It’s a feel-good, cruise-in style show where Fox fans come together, and that’s the way we like it!

The show features a popular vote format where registered show participants decide who receives coveted trophies for classes such as “1987-93 Best Original.” Plus, recognition giveaways are presented in categories such as “Most In Need of Upholstery.”

14th and Final FOX-BODY CRUISE AT MUSTANG WEEK

REGISTRATION OPTIONS:

Friday, July 29: Register at the Fox Mustang Restoration tent at Mustang Week. Fee: $10, includes a Fox-Body Cruise decal.

Saturday, July 30, 7:00am - 7:45am: Register at the staging lot located at SaveMore SuperStore, 5033 Dick Pond Rd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588. Fee: $10, includes a Fox-Body Cruise decal.

Come be a part of 150+ Fox-Bodies rolling into the Mustang Week's Cruise-In! Meet us in the SaveMore SuperStore parking lot (5033 Dick Pond Rd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588) on Saturday, July 30, 2022 between 7:00am-7:45am and then cruise about 30 minutes with approximately 150 gorgeous Foxes right into the Myrtyle Beach Convention Center for the Mustang Week Cruise-In. In its 14th and final year, this cruise is a long-standing tradition started by SouthEastern FoxBodies and now the torch has now been passed to us, Fox Mustang Restoration, and we are proud to continue it. Please make sure you are registered by 7:45am on Saturday. We will have a driver's meeting at 8:00am.

Breakfast! The Breakfast House is conveniently located right next door to our staging lot! They are creating a special menu just for the Fox-Body Cruise in order to allow for expedited service between 6:30-7:45am. Plate prices will range between $7-$8. We hope you'll consider supporting another small business during this event.

Event Details: The staging parking lot is completely paved and is large enough for all cruise participants plus staging room. We will be escorted by Horry County officers who will ensure our safe and timely travel during this event. Reckless driving will not be tolerated. We will be releasing the route details the day of the cruise, cruise maps will be available on-site. Registration will be available on-site for $10. Parking at the Mustang Week Cruise-In is not included in this ticket, it's $5 unless you were registered in the show on Friday, then just bring your placard and there's no charge. If you do not have a placard, you will be required to pre-pay at the staging lot.

Are non-Mustang Foxes welcome? Yes, you can participate in the cruise, but you will not be admitted to the Cruise-In at Mustang Week, you'll need to park in spectator parking. You also have the option to not pay the fee and be positioned behind the cruise.

Can I drive a Mustang that isn't a Fox-Body Mustang in the Cruise? No, this cruise is strictly for Fox-Bodies. However, you are welcome to follow the cruise. Join us in the staging lot, you don't have to pay a fee, you will be positioned behind the last Horry County police escort. You will not be admitted to the Cruise-In at Mustang Week, you'll need to park in spectator parking.

Can I drive a Fox-Body Mustang that isn't Ford-Powered in the Cruise? No, Mustang Week only allows Ford-Powered vehicles in the Cruise-In. However, you are welcome to follow the cruise. Join us in the staging lot, you don't have to pay a fee, you will be positioned behind the last Horry County police escort. Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Any licensed driver can participate.

Can I bring outside food and drink? Yes, but only in the staging area. Please do not take outside food and drink into the Breakfast House.

Are restrooms available? Yes, the Breakfast House opens at 6:30am.

Will Fox-Body Cruise t-shirts be available? Yes, Fox-Body Cruise t-shirts will be available for sale at the Fox Mustang Restoration tent at the show on both Friday & Saturday. They will also be for sale at the cruise starting location on Saturday morning.

Will Fox-Body Cruise decals be available? Yes, Fox-Body Cruise decals will be available for sale at the Fox Mustang Restoration tent at the show on both Friday & Saturday. They will also be for sale at the cruise starting location on Saturday morning. These are free if you register for the cruise.
