The Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake is a good property of you're traveling with friends or family, needing more room for your trip, rather than just 2 beds in a single room. My room at this property had room that had a King Size Bed, another room with 2 Queen Size Beds, as well as a sofa bed in the living room. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, with the bathroom in 2 Queen Size Bedroom also opening up into the suites common area. Each room has it's on TV and also a full size kitchen in the suite. Pro's: 1) The grounds at the property are very well kept up, with employees on the property 24 hours. I always saw employees picking up litter on the grounds, interacting with customers, and more. The property grounds are close to 1,500 acres. 2) Plenty to do. There are many of things to do within the property. Amazing pools, lazy river, water slides, and arcades. 3) Restaurants throughout the property. The section that I stayed in had a full service restaurant, an outdoor bar and grill, a quick serve restaurant (hot dogs, burgers etc), Edy's Ice Cream quick serve that also sales coffee, as well as a market that sales food you can cook in your room and a lot of merchandise if you forgot to pack something. More restaurants are available on the property, at the other sections. These include a pizza restaurant, more full service restaurants, a homemade fudge store, and more. 4) "Stay a While". Are you planning on visiting the parks around Orlando, such as; Disney, Universal, or Sea World? If financials allow you, stay an extra night, and spend that day at the property. This allows you to have a "chill day" before you start back traveling. Kids will enjoy the pools, lazy river, playgrounds, and arcades. There is enough on the property to spend a day just there. Cons: Unlike other properties I've reviewed, I only had one con while on the property. 1) This property is a time share property. Don't be surprised if you are approached during your check-in to ask if you're interested in purchasing. There are also many of golf carts during the day giving tours to potential buyers. So, my con is that the internet is absolutely horrible. I know many hotels do have slow internet or internet that is glitchy. While I normally don't complain about internet, I felt I needed to in this review, simply because this is a time share, which is a "real estate/vacation" expense. So this is an investment that people are making into this property, which doesn't come for cheap. Personally, if I'm investing in this property, becoming an owner, internet should be above sub-par and able to handle a large number of both guest and owners being connected to the internet. I was able to connect to the internet on my second night. That only lasted about 45 minutes. Other times I would connect to the internet, but it simply just wouldn't work. Between errors of "no internet connection, no internet available, and unable to get IP address", it was honestly a wishing and hoping situation on getting connected. Final thoughts; the hotel is worth the stay. You wouldn't be disappointed if you stay there. If you have kids, trust me when I say that they will thoroughly enjoy it at the property. I will be returning to the property in the next few weeks so that I can try and stay in a different building so that I can check the internet in the other building, while also returning to the building that I was in to see if it's any faster and able to connect. Does Orange Lake have a shuttle to Disney?The Universal Parks are a good 25 minutes North of the Holiday Inn Orange Lake Resort. Since they do not provide shuttle service to Disney World, you can expect that they will also not have shuttle service to Universal Orlando.
