Oct 25, 2015 Unfortunately, I moved to a place that requires front license plates. I have the mount that came with the '14 Traverse; 4 rivets and 2 screws. I don't have a rivet gun, and I had a bad experience with the local dealer. AM I going to screw (no pun intended) anything up if I just attach this thing to the bumper with 4 screws?

if you do use screws... vibration etc.. and I can see the screws making the hole bigger and eventually it all falling off.
Id put something behind the bumper to help the screws hold.

Just stop into a local body shop. My experience has been those places being independently owned have a tendency to really help people out with simple stuff like this.

I decided to just buy the rivet tool and do it myself.
