How to see my posts on instagram

If you’re working on default privacy settings, anyone can see your posts and your profile. If you set your account to private, only approved followers will be able to see your profile and your posts. For business purposes, this is not a good idea. You want to share as much as possible with people, therefore a private profile makes it look like you’ve got something to hide.

Who will see my posts on Instagram?

If your account is set to default privacy settings, your posts will be visible on your profile to every Instagram user. Most users probably won’t see them unless they follow you. Your followers will see any posts you make on their feed.

However, Instagram’s algorithm filters content for users based on what they like, save, and engage with. If Instagram’s algorithm thinks users will like a post, it appears at the top of their feed. To be at the top of feeds, you need to make quality posts that get lot of engagement. Increasing engagement means using hashtags related to the content you post and captions that encourage users to interact with you.  For specific users to see your posts, you can tag them using @username.

Sometimes, Instagram will put featured accounts, posts, or locations in the Search & Explore tab. This is another way that users who don’t follow your account will be exposed to your posts. Depending on who users follow, their Search & Explore tab will be full of posts that match their interests. If a user follows bloggers that use hashtags related to their field, then the algorithm will recommend similar accounts and posts. Using hashtags will increase the likelihood of users seeing your posts on their feed because users can follow hashtags. Any post that has that specific hashtag will appear on a user’s feed, regardless if they follow your account or not. Finally, users can find your posts if you tag a location that they are interested in. This is an excellent opportunity to get some more followers, so be happy if this happens to you!

How to see my posts on instagram

Seeing who saved your post requires a simple workaround

What to Know

  • The only way to see who has saved your post is to ask your followers in an Instagram Story.
  • To see how many people saved it, go to Settings > Account > Switch to Business Account or Switch to Creator Account > View insights.

This article explains how to see who has saved your Instagram post and how many times it's been saved.

Ask Your Followers If They've Saved Your Instagram Posts

This straightforward procedure is the only way to see who's saved your posts.

  1. Tap the post you want to ask your followers about.

  2. Take a screenshot of the Instagram post’s page.

  3. Tap the Home icon to return to your main Instagram feed.

  4. Tap the Stories icon (which looks like a camera) in the top left corner to begin a new Instagram Story.

  5. Swipe up to browse for the screenshot of your Instagram post.

  6. Tap the screenshot image to add it to your Story.

  7. Tap the Text icon to add a message to your followers—in this case, something like "Who saved this post?"

  8. Tap Done when you’re finished.

Make the text smaller by pinching the screen; drag two fingers apart to enlarge it.

  9. Tap Your stories to publish the story to your followers. They will be able to reply via a direct message.

See How Many Times Your Post Has Been Saved

If you have a Personal account, you must first switch it to a free Business or Creator account by selecting Settings > Account, then choosing Switch to Business Account or Switch to Creator Account. Follow the prompts to complete the process. Then:

  1. Tap the Profile icon to view your posts. It looks like a silhouette.

  2. Tap the post you want to view the save count for.

  3. Tap View Insights under the image or video. A variety of stats will appear. The bookmark icon refers to how many times someone has saved this post to one of their Collections.

Seeing who saves your posts on Instagram can be more important than tracking the number of likes because saving a post to an Instagram Collection means someone not only likes your content but wants to share it or refer back to it. Short of asking your followers, however, there's no way to see who saved your Instagram posts or to what collections. The reason for this limitation is likely privacy.
