How to set air pressure on resmed airsense 10

To get into clinical menu to change pressure push and hold both the round button and the home button simultaneously for three seconds, you'll see the home screen change and now you can go into settings and adjust your pressures.

You say the pressure is hitting the max and waking you up. The only reason it is hitting the max is because it is trying to stop an apnea from occuring, If you lower the max...your AHI may increase because you will have more AI or HI.

It was very easy to change and I had my lowest numbers since I started a few months ago. 1.5 ahi
Usually I am around 3.5
I got an appointment with my doc today. Should I tell him I changed or change it back.
My DME said I can't change the doctors orders. I told her I already did and it was easy.
I doubt they will say anything because then they would lose money. And it's all about them getting paid.
Also, if they did I could return my cpap to them.mand get another script , then find a new supplier?
I mean , they can't make me use a certain company. I could say thanks for the new machine , here it is you can have it back. I am going to one of the other numerous suppliers on my insurance program. .?
Doubt I will need to do this though.

Reading pressure.
When I read my "pressure" the morning after am I reading the average pressure, last pressure registered , or max pressure used?
I set my pressure for 14.4and went to bed. But, due to different things , I couldn't fall asleep. But the pressure went up high. So, when I got up I changed it down to 14. Then slept.
This morning I noticed the pressure said 14.4. .???
So, did it go to 14.4 while I was awake? Why would it ramp up like that while awake? And it was maxed out at 14 for most of the over all sleeping time. So, how did I get a 14.4 pressure reading.
I had my sleep study done years ago and since then I have lost weight and changed my diet so I am no longer congested the way while on all that cow milk. I am going to the doc to ask for another sleep study. It's been well over 5 years.
Anything new out there I should ask for?

I don't see any purpose in lying to the doctor about it, they got it wrong, you changed things, you feel better, they should know so they can factor that in.

if they refuse to work with you, then, like you said, find another doctor.

check it with sleephead, the 95% numbers on the display don't have answers to your questions, and nobody here can do anything but guess without any data.

I brought in my "before and after" setting changes charts to my appointment. I proved to my sleep doctor that by my changing the settings, it improved my AHI AND more importantly my sleep quality.

Once I had presented my case, my doctor was in full agreement with the changes that I made.

I told my doc and he didn't care as I had proof my ahi went down . Granted for one night. We see how it goes.
Interestingly, I've lost almost 50 pounds since my last sleep study. One would think it would get better but it appears mine has gotten worse.
Years ago my pressure average was around 9.5 now it's 13.8. Needless to say he was scratching his head.
I have a sleep study scheduled for early next week.
Can't wait to see the results.
Ps. My climate line hose has lots of holes. Tried a cheaply hose. Doesn't work. So I ordered another but in the meantime I put duck tape around the climate line hose. Is this ok?

Can I adjust my pressure on my ResMed AirSense 10 CPAP machine?

Pressure relief on the ResMed AirSense 10 allows individuals to adjust air pressure during exhalation for greater comfort during therapy.

Can I adjust my CPAP pressure myself?

Air pressure calibration on CPAP machines is done through a process called titration. So you are advised against trying to adjust the air pressure of a CPAP machine on your own. Also, never get the air pressure adjusted without a medical prescription.

What pressure should my CPAP be set at?

For most people, an appropriate CPAP pressure is between 6 and 14 cmH2O, with an average of 10 cmH2O. Your sleep specialist can help you determine what specific level is right for you. Over time, your CPAP device pressure may require adjusting.
