Rear Lift Options: The Rough Country 4.5in Suspension Lift Kit is available with either add-a-leaf springs and adjustable shackles or rear leaf springs. Full leaf springs provide a better ride, but adjustable shackles allow you to dial in the ride height in the rear. This is helpful if you have an oversized rear bumper, tire carrier, or you use your Cherokee XJ to tow. Run Larger Wheels and Tires: By adding additional clearance, the Rough Country 4.5in Suspension Lift Kit allows you to run up to 32x11.50 tires on your Jeep Cherokee XJ. In order to clear suspension components, you will need 3.75” of wheel backspacing with this kit. Customer Submitted PhotosRough Country 4.5in Suspension Lift Kit ReviewsInstalled fairly easily and lifted my Jeep nice and level. If your rear leafs are in good shape the add a leaf kit is definitely worth it. You don’t need to use the bottom hole on the adjustable shackles if your leafs are still arched enough. The rear brake line extension bracket will not work if you have the stock hard line because you won’t have enough length to stretch the line to the new location. I suggest getting extended lines separately from the kit. Also fixed control arms are sub par. I am struggling to get the caster correct since my caster adjustments are so rusted. This being said I highly suggest getting adjustable arms too or you won’t drive straight.
QuestionsWill the U-bolts fit the C8.25? Rough Country provides both 3" and 2.75" diameter bolts for either rear axle option. Thank you for the question.
