Very unique, beautiful classical music! This CD is so striking because it features Christmas music that is very classic, beautiful, and rare in most collections available these days. I was surprised to hear music that is very high quality and deep, just what I would like to hear when I am tired of the other type that is sometimes monotonous during the Christmas season. I've been hoping to find Christmas music that helps celebrate what many consider the most beautiful and rich of all holidays, and this is something I am delighted to hear and share. I consider it ideal for the Christmas holidays.
The only Christmas CD I own. I play it all year. Great eclectic selection of songs from popular to sacred. Wonderful duet with Rosemary Clooney. River by Joni Mitchell was a surprise. A song I had not heard before, it provides the break between the pop and the religious. As always, Ronstadt gives an impeccable performance.
Nice title I just didn`t know what to expect of this cd, since I`m not a Ronstedt fan, but I had heard her singing in a Gilbert & Sullivan operetta on the tv, and I liked the pure sound her voice made. I must say however, that in my opinion, this CD is quite the worst Christmas cd that I have in my 100 cd collection of quality Christmas stars, and I`m really very sorry that I have now wasted my hard earned cash on it. It fails because she sings poorly and her voice is not suited to Christmas music. She may have been unwell or not rehearsed enough, but I certainly will keep the CD, although I shall not ever be playing the cd again. I will not throw the cd in the rubbish bin but it was a close thing. We got your report We’ll take a look and remove the review if it doesn’t follow our guidelines. |
