How long does a pork shoulder take to cook in crock pot?

bone-in pork shoulder typically takes 6-8 hours on the low setting and 3-4 hours on the high setting in my manual slow cooker. One that's twice the size (7 to 8 lbs.) will take twice as long (12-14 hours on low and 6-8 hours on high).

Can you put raw pork in a slow cooker?

Can You Put Raw Meat in the Slow Cooker? It is safe to add raw meat to a crock pot or slow cooker if it will be cooked through completely. Tough cuts like pot roast, pork shoulder, and stew meat can be browned first and then cooked through in the cooker or simply added to the crock pot.

What temperature do you slow cook a pork shoulder?

We recommend a temperature of 195-200 °F / 90-93 °C for tender, juicy pork which pulls apart easily. * Note: Gently place the stock pot in the center of the Proofer base and avoid sliding your pot to prevent scratching the aluminum surface on the base of the Proofer.
