Skin Resurfacing

Venus Viva™ is an advanced, non-surgical skin resurfacing solution designed to improve overall skin texture. Safe for all skin tones and types

Radiofrequency treatments involve the use of electricity and heat and are generally considered safe and effective for all skin types. The Venus Viva cannot be used if there is a recent history of tanning, chemical peels, toxins or filler treatments. The device should not be used if you are pregnant.

Minimal downtime

You will experience post-treatment redness lasting 2-3 days. Areas such as neck, chest and hands may take more time to heal. Healing times may be quicker with the addition of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)- a blood draw that involves using the power of your own platelets to assist in wound healing. You may proceed with normal activities immediately post treatment and makeup can be applied 24 hours post treatment.

RF Skin Tightening and Microneedling
Microneedling uses a tool with tiny needles on the end that is rolled gently against the skin to puncture and create micro-injuries in order to "disrupt" the cells and produce collagen. Some also refer to this as collagen induction therapy. As the skin heals, new skin forms leaving the top layer feeling and looking smoother, brighter, and rejuvenated. While this procedure is commonly used alone, combining this advanced technique with RF technology has allowed practitioners to optimize the results for their patients.

The process is quite simple. The handheld device, which emits RF heat, works by delivering short pulses of RF energy through an array of sterilized micro-needles. These needles go into the skin to "disrupt and remodel" the fibrous tissue, which promotes the induction of collagen. Simultaneously, the RF energy is transmitted through the needles, which circles back to the electrode sitting on the surface layer of the skin. The RF energy heats at depths that provide cumulative and ongoing benefits. Even better, depending on the patient, the condition of his or her skin, and what is being addressed, Dr. Khorsandi has flexible control over needle depth, heat, and coverage, which changes the course of each treatment. In other words, RF microneedling has a one-touch adjustment capability that creates an incredibly precise delivery of heat to the tissue levels where it is needed.

ThermiSmooth® Face

At SurgiSpa, we help men and women smooth their skin with this state-of-the-art technology that uses targeted heat to firm specific areas of the face. ThermiSmooth® Face generates new collagen—the foundational protein that supports the skin.

During your office visit, we set our Thermi RF system to a target temperature to achieve specific aesthetic results. After applying a topical gel, we gently pass the ThermiSmooth® Face attachment in a sweeping motion while gradually increasing heat to the skin surface. The Thermi RF computer will automatically adjust energy output to a precise temperature, treating the target site for five to 15 minutes.

Clinical studies have shown that raising skin temperature above 104 degrees Fahrenheit will stimulate skin cells to produce more collagen. ThermiTight®

ThermiTight is best for patients who want skin-tightening results similar to those achieved with surgery, but without the risk.

ThermiTight® is a micro-invasive cosmetic improvement that takes from one to two hours. To begin, we numb the treatment area with a local anesthetic, and a small incision allows the RF fiber to work under the skin. The application of RF energy causes the targeted tissue to shrink.

The tip of the ThermiTight® probe delivers continual, real-time feedback on the temperature. A camera will monitor skin temperature for safety and efficacy. The fiber probe will heat the underlying tissue, tighten the skin, and lessen unwanted fat deposits. Afterward, we tape the incision closed and apply a compression bandage.  ThermiTight® is a single-session solution that delivers improvement to skin laxity for several months. It is a suitable alternative to surgery for areas that need mild to moderate help.

Recovery is minimal. Patients should rest for at least 12 hours, resuming normal activities after two or three days if tolerable.

ThermiRase®

For years, Botox has been the go-to cosmetic treatment patients rely on to resolve lines on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and crow’s feet. But today, there is another option for longer-lasting and more effective results. ThermiRase® is a fantastic new treatment now available from SurgiSpa in Las Vegas and Henderson.

It is the latest FDA-approved procedure for frown lines and wrinkles that emerge on many faces in this dry desert climate. ThermiRase® uses RF ablation to stimulate nerves beneath the skin surface.
