This trip fishes anywhere from the sound, inlet, up to 3 miles out to sea. The primary method of fishing on this trip is usually trolling in the ocean. Targeted species include bluefish, spanish mackerel, striped bass, king mackerel, and cobia. Fishing trips are in the morning and afternoon.

Sportsman Half Day Trip

This trip is designed to offer a more hands on experience, actively fishing for a wide variety of fish using lighter tackle. This trip is focused on fishing the sound, inlet, ocean, or a combination of these areas. Targeted species are speckled trout, redfish, flounder,bluefish, striped bass, spanish mackerel, triggerfish, spadefish, cobia, and more. Fishing trips are in morning and afternoon.

What sharks can you catch in the Outer Banks?

The North Carolina coast gets a wide variety of shark species that feed close to shore including dusky, spinner, hammerhead, sandbar and blacktip. The state limits sizes and specifies the species that must be released. Blacktips are the most challenging and can be kept if they are at least 54 inches long.
