This is a great shampoo for curly hair. The sulfate free formula cleanses hair very gently. It is a silky texture and lathers and spreads well. It is packed with amazing ingredients including organic shea butter, coconut oil, silk protein and neem oil. It smells absolutely amazing. It contains no silicones, no sulfates, no parabens, no phthalates, no mineral oil or petrolatum. It keeps my thick curly and frizz prone 3C hair super clean but never dry. It works great with the matching super hydrating conditioner.

I was a bit hesitant to buy this shampoo for my curly haired daughter. As she uses a bit of shampoo and conditioner. However, it is worth it. Her thick mane of golden curls shine and she takes pride in her hair. We bought this coconut and hibiscus shampoo along with the matching conditioner from Priceline on sale. The smell is amazing!!! The shampoo is thinner than the conditioner and the shampoo is a different colour: I love that this is a B Certified Corporation and that they use Raw Shea Butter handcrafted by women in Africa. We will definitely be buying again.

Tips

Buy the conditioner too.

Wow.. where SheaMoisture been all my life! I got introduced to this by my sister! I got this with the matching Smoothie leave-in cream and conditioner. I used this to clean my hair and followed it with the matching conditioner, and a leave-in treatment to style it and treat it at the same time. I have Thick Curly Dry Hair. So this beautiful curly hair-friendly shampoo really cleaned up my hair so nicely, and didn't dry up my hair so much! After cleansing my hair I would use the leave-in treatment following it with some serum to really hydrate my hair. and it works really well, it lasted me a long time. It does smell like coconut oil, so if you hate the smell of coconut oil on your hair, I wouldn't recommend this for you, but I'm going through a phase of coconut fragrance obsession so this really was lovely and such good quality for amazing hair.

This shampoo I was actually kinda concerned with after my first couple of uses as it felt Like it wasn't cleaning my hair effectively. It felt as if there was a greasy residue left behind which was weird as it is a foaming shampoo. I pererved with it as I have heard great things about it and I am glad I did. This shampoo is very gentle but doesn't strip the hair completely of all its oils. This is odd to feel if your used to heavily sulphate shampoos that really completly strip the hair and giving us that normal clean feeling. Like the conditioner it has a sweet coconut scent thats mild. The bottle its in is a kinda squeeze style but the plastic is firm and would rather this product to be pump style. But with all that aside after getting threw a somewhat tranistion stage my hair is loving this shampoo. As its gentle on the hair my hair has become healthier and able to retain moisture.

Tips

Try this shampoo out for around 1month before deciding if it for you or not.

Ideal for

Dry curly hair. For anyone that knows their curl type be best for 2c-3c hair.

This Shampoo is actually quite amazing - smells like coconut and sweetness. Such silky and smooth texture - bit more runny than usual but that kind of works in getting it all the way to roots for a through cleanse. Spreads nicely, foams up well and gets easily washed off leaving hair rather feeling nourished. While in shower it felt quite heavy on hair but once dried it wasn't that heavy in particular but still weighed them down quite a bit. Honestly, it didn't do much to add definition to my wavy-curly hair but did make them feel really shiny and smooth - lot less frizzy than usual. Overall, really good one for dry, prominent curls to reduce frizz and add definition but not so much for fine wavy hair.
