As the title says, which spark plugs would you all suggest for the 2.0T engine? I've read that copper ones may perform better, but not last as long. Anyone heard this before?

Thanks in advance for any replies :icon_thumright:

It all depends on performance tuning. But yes coppers do work better in some occasions. But it is recommend to run irediums.

Copper - NGK BKR 6E
Audi part number 06H 905 601A - Thou this part number may have changed to 06H 905 621, you can confirm this if you are going OEM.
The OEM plugs part has PFR 7S8EG printed on them. So you can use the PFR7S8EG as its a NGK plug. Just without the audi logo on.

If you are running a chip it is recommend to run a cooler plug - BKR7EIX

Otherwise you can run BKR6EIX. In stock.

Generally recommend to take yours out and look at the condition and base you next purchase on if you need a hotter or colder plug etc.

when do these need changing? im not sure if mine have ever been changed, and im running stage 1 does that affect them much ?

  • #4

I use NGK BKR7EIX plugs to allow for a future remap by running cooler. Otherwise standard temp plugs can fail - never a good thing on boost!

  • #5

I aint got a clue about these things, how many do we have and where the hell are they lol

Well if they have never been changed it is generally advised to change them as they dont run as they should.

And you have a 4 cylinder engine so you will have 4 spark plugs.

And they are located under the coil packs if you know were those are.

oh right yeah i'm with you. Ill look into getting those thanches to the NGK BKR7EIX as i have a remap then at some point.

how much are we talking for a set of 4 and are they easy to change myself being a novice lol

  • #8

6's will be fine for a standard map. 7's are worth investing in.
I've also got a set of 8's for the drag strip. Just burns abit cooler. 8's are no good for everyday driving though.

Anything from £6-7 ea

They are pretty straight forward. Thou you will need a long spark plug socket tool to get to the plug in the cylinder head.

What brand of spark plugs do Audi use?

These are OEM Audi plugs made by NGK. These come pre gapped at . 032 from NGK (OE preferred spec is . 028 for turbo engines and we feel this is especially important when installed on tuned or modded cars).

How often should spark plugs be changed in Audi A4?

Eventually, at around 30,000 miles to as high as 40,000 miles, conventional spark plugs will wear out, which could cause stalling, starting problems and engine misfires.

What size are Audi A4 spark plugs?

Spark Plug Socket 12" x 5/8" - Bavarian Autosport.

How many spark plugs does a 2.0 T have?
