When does season 4 of fortnite start

Epic Games loves keeping Fortnite fresh to give returning players a reason to come back and new players a reason to join this adrenaline-packed battle royale that never ceases to amaze us. Each new chapter in Fortnite brings a new battle pass, new island areas, special events, and limited-time game modes that are simply a treat to play.

On average, seasons in Fortnite last 90 days. Since Chapter Three, season three began on June 5, the expected release date of season four was around late September or early October. Recently, we’ve learned that the next season is coming earlier to the island. In fact, Fortnite Chapter Three, season four will start on Sept 18. Packed with secrets, leaks, and even ominous websites by Epic, Fortnite Chapter Three, season four will definitely leave a mark on Fortnite’s history just like Vibin’ did.

With Fortnite Chapter Three, season four just around the corner, you’re probably dying to hear all there is to know about the upcoming season. Some leaks revealed a series of teasers that showcase the next big season theme: Paradise. As Epic continues the story after the downfall of Doctor Slone, we might just get the fresh start we need with Paradise. Other than that, all these leaked trailers feature an unknown substance that’s slowly taking over. The only question is, what will happen once this substance entirely takes over?

Until then, see you on the island as we together count down the days until the start of the next Fortnite season on Sept. 18.

It has been more than three months since Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 began, and while some players may still be enjoying what it has to offer, others may be ready for something new. Fortunately for those fans that are looking ahead, Season 3 is very close to its end, and Season 4 is just about to begin. This guide is here to provide more specific information about the start date of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4, and it will also touch on what else is known about it.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Start Date

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 is set to begin on Sunday, September 18 following a downtime that is scheduled to start at 2am EDT. This means that players have very little time left to finish up Fortnite's Season 3 Battle Pass and unlock Snap styles, as it will no longer be possible to perform those actions once Season 4 is underway. Fans may also want to take a moment to confirm that they have unlocked the Indiana Jones outfit and accessories, as the opportunity to do so will disappear.

With respect to other details about the forthcoming season, it appears that it will be called Paradise. Additionally, there have been teasers that point toward chrome having a major role to play, and it seems that the substance may attempt to "consume everything" during Season 4. While exactly how this will manifest in-game remains to be seen, the following image, which has been shared by developer Epic Games, hints at something quite nefarious.

Before then, make sure you unlock any remaining Battle Pass rewards you want, unlock the Indiana Jones skin (give yourself plenty of time to solve the secret door past the main chamber in Shuffled Shrines puzzle!) and be sure to spend those gold bars.

What can we expect from Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4?

Unlike last season, we have some specifics about what to expect from Chapter 3 Season 4 - though a lot of mystery remains, thanks to some cryptic but interlinked teases over the last couple of weeks.

First, there's the theme - Paradise. This theme is more sinister than it sounds, however - with the reveal accompanied by three viral clips where, despite their rosy starts, seem them quickly consumed by a metal-like substance.

What does this mean? This substance appears to be called 'chrome', with a further tease by the Fortnite Twitter account capitalising letters to spell out the word, alongside the phrases 'It consumes everything', 'Free them' and 'You might be next'.
