Decided to replace all 4 of my Oxygen Sensors on my 2009 VW Routan SEL. My gas mileage was 11 to 12 MPG and after I changed them it went up to 18 MPG. This made a tremendous difference.

How much does it cost to replace an O2 sensor on a Jeep Liberty?

The average cost for a Jeep Liberty oxygen sensor replacement is between $240 and $296. Labor costs are estimated between $53 and $66 while parts are priced between $188 and $230.

How can you tell which O2 sensor is bad?

How to test an Oxygen Sensor with a Clamp-meter.
Make sure the engine exhaust system is cold..
Switch the clamp-meter on, to 'DC current/DC amperage' mode..
Put the clamp around either of the oxygen sensor heater power wires (but not both). ... .
      Turn the engine on..
Observe the reading, which should be between 0.25A and 1.5A..

Where are the O2 sensors located?

The O2 sensors are located on the exhaust manifold near the catalytic converter. The manifold receives a mixture of air and fuel from the engine. Since there are two catalytic converters for recent models of cars, there are two oxygen sensors in a car.
