Im also happy to say that this shoe is not heavy. I have a fake pair of converse and the rubber sole is so heavy its hard to walk in. Based on converse reviews I ordered a 7 which is a half size less than the womens 7 &1/2 that I usually wear in a shoe. They fit just right. I have a normal foot that is on the narrow side. These would not fit me if I had a wider foot. The upper on these shoes feels unusually stiff while I am testing them around the house. I've never had that happen with a sneaker before. That does not make me eager to wear them. If you have the patience to break them in to soften them up, go for it. Otherwise, pick a more comfy sneaker. I am over 50 years old so I like comfort and I think I can do better in that regard. I got them because they are the only converse that have a padded heel collar and I like the simple design and really nice spring color. I may return due to stiffness, we shall see. Elle was fortunate enough to grow up wearing Converse Sneakers and now she will wear no others. She selected these sneakers from the extraordinarily large selection available on the Amazon site, and barely has taken them off since unwrapping their gift paper. Thank you Converse, for continuing in your great tradition of producing one of the most comfortable, economical, and beautiful sneakers around!
