Met all my expectations!

This is honestly the best app I have downloaded regarding anything photo related! I was a bit worried the app wouldn’t work well because i haven’t seen other apps similar to this but it met all my expectations! I’m a person who typically takes photos with the live mode on and I get a beautiful moment or moments but the final picture looks to be super low quality :( but with this app I can save the photo as a video and as an outcome the quality looks better and still captures different movements 🙇🏻‍♀️🥸👍 10/10 would definitely recommend : )💕

Found workaround for empty Camera Roll but flawed

I unfortunately moved the live photos I wish to convert into another album. They are no longer in the Camera Roll -- the default location that LP loads. Even though I've copied the photos back to my iPhone in another Album, when I select "Album" to load photos from a different album, the LP app crashes.
Eventually I found a workaround. Snap a "Live" photo. It's in the Camera Roll. Now LP finds the one Live photo in the Camera Roll and lets me search other Albums without crashing.
However!... (1) The app does not preserve the correct orientation of the original photo. (2) The app doesn't even preserve the original aspect ratio!! The only thing preserved is some portion of the original photo and the metadata. I appreciate the latter, but the other flaws are unacceptable.
I guess you get what you pay for. I suppose I need to write my own app.

For the people just seeing this review since its the highest rated. I’ve fixed the orientation issue for still frames now, and I believe the crashing problems are related to iCloud photo library which I fixed a few months ago.

So good that I do not even care that there is no iPad-specific version

Not only is it free but it also lets you pick and preview. A few simple options are all I really want in a converter app and this gives them perfectly.
Sometimes I do not care about perfect and lossless quality... and I can choose whether to have it or not.
Most of the time I just want a nice 1Mb gif and I can actually make my own decision on whether I prefer smoother frames or crisper images.
Keep up the great work 👍
