it involved cannibal horses at some point and it also contained no jokes, and it introduced giant sperm so casually everyone here thought it was a misdirection or rick playing with morty's mind, and it was boring. That's it.

Personally, I don't care if they include the things you have mentioned.I think the issue with this season's episodes for me is that I don't feel like Rick is Rick anymore. And, what I liked about the show is that they made episodes about stuff that most of us haven't really thought of before. Like, meeseeks, the "true level", the memory altering parasites, interdimensional cable, etc. There was a lack of it in Season 4 too but not as much as in the season 5 episodes. Im hoping the upcoming episodes will bring in something as exciting.
