Which side faces up for iron on vinyl?

Tips and Tricks for Iron-On Vinyl Place the iron-on onto the mat with the “shiny-side down”. That means carrier sheet down, dull vinyl facing up. Remember to mirror the design! This is one of the most important steps, and it's easy to forget!

Why does my iron on vinyl look blotchy?

If you are running into problems with a transfer being faded, burned, too light, or spotty, check the three most important things: heat, pressure, and moisture. Too much or too little heat are usually problematic and result in over-pressing or under-pressing of the substrate.

What iron on vinyl is best for jerseys?

Thermo-FILM® heat transfer vinyl provides you with this confidence. For decades, Thermo-FILM® has been the #1 choice of team dealers because it's durable and abrasion-resistant. In fact, player names and numbers will outlast the life of the garment.

Does the colored side of vinyl go up or down?

Place Vinyl on Cutting Mat Whatever mat and machine you are using, put your adhesive vinyl paper backing side down onto your mat so the colored vinyl side is facing up (see image below).
