Xbox series x halo infinite limited edition bundle reddit

Oof I'm so jealous.. I'm hoping the Microsoft AU store will get a restock this week as apparently US did a restock yesterday but I'm not expecting much... I can't complain, I already have the Series X

Hi, I found a Series X Halo Infinite limited edition console on eBay and was wondering how many of these consoles will be available or how many have been sold? Will it be limited to a certain number like 20,000 consoles like the Green original xboxes?

What is the current status of preorders? We need to get organized and give each other a chance.

I know Microsoft store and Walmart are sold out. What is the status of Target, GameStop, Best Buy, Amazon?

I've usually been able to get the desirable tech on release date by spending hours refreshing. Yesterday i didn't have time to do that and now feel lost. As a developer, it makes me want to develop a Captcha type of software for tech that only allows real fans to buy the really limited stuff. For this Xbox, I'd require you to sign in with your Xbox credentials, and only if you have active Gold membership and every achievement unlocked for Halo 3 including double kill with Spartan laser in Lone Wolves (Two for One) would you have an opportunity to buy what is the sexiest console ever to be created.

Edit: The last limited console I went after was the 500 million special edition PS4. GameStop went live around 1AM Eastern time. However they only have a very limited number of standalone consoles. Most of their consoles were bundled with $300 of additional garbage. I expect them to do the same with this.

Edit 8/27 5:45 PST: Best Buy and Amazon have both made updates to their listings in the last 24 hours. We got some questions answered by the Xbox team in the Amazon listing. Still nothing yet. F5 onward brethren.

Edit 8/30 9AM PST: No signs of life on GameStop, Amazon or Best Buy over the weekend. This can be good or bad depending on how busy you were over the last couple of days. Hopefully we can get our opportunity early this week. Let's keep going.

Edit 8/30 3PM PST: I will likely be very wrong but I have a feeling of 9PM PST for Amazon and 12AM PST for GameStop.

Edit 8/30 10:30PM PST: Amazon did not go live. There is life on GameStop. We have reason to believe GameStop will be dropping imminently. See comments by u/Sid_Hero for legendary detective work.

Edit 8/31 9:40AM PST: GameStop went live for Pro Members only. Sold out as of 9:40AM. Potential wave for all customers incoming. Many of us, including myself, was able to get one. Time to stop slandering GameStop.

Edit 8/31 11:30PM PST: Exciting day for some spartans, and an adversarial day for others. Best Buy and Amazon are still yet to drop. Apparently there is another outlet that will have the console, if someone posts the link I'll add it here. Hoping more of folks in this community are able to lock in the console at the next opportunity.

Edit 9/1: No updates that I know of. Pro tip: NowInStock browser alerts speakers on loud in case something goes up overnight. Also, NowInStock email notifications with a Gmail filter forwarding messages as text. (Some carriers don't support NowInStock text alerts). Good luck out there!

Edit 9/3: No updates yet from remaining retailers. I highly recommend setting up text alerts as suggested in my 9/1 update. It is not healthy to continuously monitor a website for days on end for a video game console.

Edit 9/6: I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend. I was not closely monitoring the listings as I expected the teams responsible for dropping the consoles would be off of work themselves. It sounds like there is a lot of hope that the remaining stock will be up for sale this week. As we've been doing, let's continue to help one and another. Based on the survey results thus far, nearly 75% of those still active on this thread have not yet secured the console. Keep pushing through, I'm hopeful we can all get our order through!

9/7: Response from Microsoft team on some Amazon/GameStop questions: "Due to overwhelming demand, preorders for this limited edition Xbox Series X have ended for now. Please check back for announcements about more preorder opportunities in the future."

I honestly have a hard time believing this to be true. This would mean the item was sold out before Amazon or Best Buy ever dropped any stock. If true, this announcement would make this the most limited console ever mass produced.

9/8: This will be my final update until we hear more from Microsoft. As of now, preorders have ended. Based on the messaging from Microsoft, there is a possibility they open back up closer to release. If anything new comes up, I'll post it here as I am sure many of our dedicated spartans will as well.

9/23: HALO INFINITE LIMITED EDITION SERIES X BUNDLE IS BACK ON THE MENU. Walmart seems to be putting out more consoles for pre-order at 9AM PST today!

9/23: The Walmart release got moved to 6PM PST. Congrats to those who were able to secure one. This was a good sign that Amazon and Best Buy would eventually have consoles to sell. We're less than 60 days away from release!

10/13: GameStop is doing a restock this week. Monday was for the limited edition console, today was for the limited edition controller, and tomorrow will be for a bundle. Pro Membership is required for these drops, despite availability being hit or miss.

10/14: Seems like folks had a tough time with GameStop's drop today. As I've said before, I truly believe the timed drops are tougher to acquire than the surprise drop.

All of this craziness has me wondering, is this the most lucrative limited edition console of all time? Excluding limited consoles that were never sold publicly.
