Step 1: Preheat oven to 350, line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large mixing bowl or the bowl an electric mixer, mix together peanut butter and egg. Add in granulated and powdered sugar, mix until fully combined. The dough may seem a little “dry” but it comes together great.

Step 2: Scoop or roll dough out into 1.5in balls on you parchment lined baking sheet. I like to use a well rounded TBS full and tap or scrap it out with a tiny spatula, then give them each a quick roll.

Step 3: Press cookies down with a fork.

Allrecipes Community Tips and Praise

"OMG this is such an amazing, delicious, cheap, easy way to make the best cookies I've had in a long time," raves one Allrecipes community member. "I saved some of the [dough] so I can add chocolate chips tomorrow."

"I made a huge batch of these last week, but used brown instead of white sugar," says Adele Vaverchak. "They were AWESOME. Not overly sweet, soft and chewy and easy. I found it easier to handle the sticky dough by refrigerating it slightly for scooping."

"I loved the recipe, it's great for starting bakers (like kids)," according to Mary Ward. "The cookies taste as good as any I've ever eaten. I think next time I make them I'm going to double the ingredients so I don't run out so soon."

Do you have to put eggs in peanut butter cookies?

Many old-fashioned peanut butter cookie recipes use eggs, peanut butter, and sugar—but no flour. (Try my Keto Peanut Butter Cookies for a flourless option!) To make no egg peanut butter cookies instead, flour is required, along with other classic ingredients like butter, leavening agents, and a dash of milk.

Why do you squish peanut butter cookies with a fork?

The reason is that peanut butter cookie dough is dense, and unpressed, each cookie will not cook evenly. Using a fork to press the dough is a convenience of tool; bakers can also use a cookie shovel (spatula).
Sugar cookie dough mix provides many dessert options. You can enjoy your sugar cookies plain, frost them or mix in an ingredient such as peanut butter, nuts or chocolate chips to change the flavor and texture.
